Welcome to:   Grandmas-Cookbook.com

This was the Cook Book I grew up with and now looking back over my 72 years I remember watching it's pages age with discolor from stains wrinkles and cracks.
Gingerly turning its fragile pages reminds me that time has played the same trick on me.  On my 70th birthday I wrote myself a poem the that affect.
Hello mirror on the wall,
I have no secrets, you tell all.
Behind this wrinkled face of age
A child of memory plays on my stage.
The riddle of time has etched life's change
While deep inside I remain the same.
For others I wear the mask of fate
I took time to live is how I rate.
The ups and downs the good and bad
Life's challenges were often sad.
Though my body grew old my mind stayed young
My spirit is actively searching for fun.
So old lady just step aside
And let my memories take a ride
I clutched the book to my chest and shut my eyes as a slide show of memories flashed behind my eyelids;  born of pride and the understanding that this was not just
a piece of me but of my entire family. The bits and pieces of my memories would fit with other like the pieces of a large puzzle.    You are invited as a world internet
